TBG signs pact with retail major

The Boston Group (TBG), a provider of IT services and solutions, has bagged a project to execute simulated training content for the supply chain management (SCM) software of Carrefour, one of the world's largest retail chains.

The entire simulated training content will be developed at TBG's Hyderabad centre. It will be aimed at increasing the consistency and effectiveness with which training is delivered to Carrefour's employees while using the SCM software. This will also help in reducing the time a new user would take to get certified on Carrefour's SCM system, TBG said in a statement.

TBG's content will be developed in six Asian languages and English to be used by more than 20,000 users across the Carrefour locations in Asia. The project's initial implementation is being done at Carrefour, Thailand and is expected to be rolled out in the other regions as well, TBG said.

Hyderabad: The Boston Group (TBG) has bagged an order from Euro 88.7 billion Carrefour, the world's second largest retail chain, to execute simulated training content for the latter's supply chain management (SCM) software.

The entire simulated training content will be developed at the company's Hyderabad development centre, and would be aimed at increasing the consistency and effectiveness of Carrefour's employees.

The simulated content will also help in reducing considerably, the time a new user would take to get certified on Carrefour's SCM system.

The training content will be developed in seven Asian languages including English, to be deployed and used by more than 20,000 users across Carrefour's locations in Asia.

The initial project implementation will be at the company's Thailand office, and is expected to be rolled out in other regions as well, TBG said further.

"We are delighted at this development. The Carrefour contract means a lot to us, as we are actively working on consolidating our customised content development services across the globe," said the president, TBG, Mohan Krishna Jonna, President, TBG.

Carrefour is the second largest retail chain in the world with 10,378 stores across 29 countries with a total staff strength of 420,000 employees.

Hyderabad: The Boston Group (TBG), a technology solutions provider, has announced that Carrefour, the second largest retail chain, has chosen it to execute simulated training content for its Supply Chain Management (SCM) software. The entire simulated training content will be developed at the company's Hyderabad centre.
