National Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NRAEF) elects The Boston Group to integrate their Learning Management System to their Order Entry System.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA, June 6, 2002- The Boston Group, a global provider of IT & eLearning solutions today announced that NRAEF has chosen TBG's cost-effective IT services to integrate Intralearn's LMS to its Order Entry System.

NRAEF facilitates on-line order entry to its customers. Intralearn's Learning Management System was selected to enhance the existing e-Commerce functionality to include on-line training. This required an interface that would enable a user to purchase and take the course on-line in a seamless manner.

NRAEF wanted to encapsulate multiple use case scenarios with minimum of clicks to ensure an effective and customer centric interface. For example, it was a requirement that system should differentiate (automatically) between a customer coming to the site and purchasing a course for herself or purchasing a course on team's behalf. Another requirement was to maintain a global login with role based assigned permissions.

The Boston Group was elected to build an interface using Macromedia Cold Fusion and MS SQL Server 2000 to their order entry system. Application Programming Interfaces (API) were built in Intralearn LMS and CGI to enable two way flow of data/information.
